Twenty-Four Credit Hour Program
Herkimer County students who do not possess a high school diploma or GED may apply as a non-matriculated student. After successfully completing 24 college credits in specific areas of study, the student may obtain a State High School Equivalency Diploma without having to take the equivalency examination. Current guidelines for granting the diploma on the basis of college credit are on form HSE 651, which can be obtained by writing to the High School Equivalency Diploma Office, State Education Department, Albany, NY 12234.
