PE 157 Adapted PE and Sport

This course seeks to provide students with the theoretical and practical knowledge to plan and implement appropriate physical education programs for students with disabilities. Focus is on integrated settings with emphasis on the adaptation of physical education to needs of children with physical, intellectual, emotional or sensory disabilities. Strategies for program planning and implementation include writing IEPs, activity/equipment adaptation and techniques of teaching. Majors only. NOTE: Offered spring semesters only.
